In one of the final dates of the "Today's Jazz 5" is performed, from ten in the evening for over an hour, Sabir Mateen and Silvia Bolognesi.
In an intimate, typical enoteca Mascarella Street, the American multi-instrumentalist has provided a taste of how you play the most underground of jazz in New York: saxophone, flute and clarinet have literally mesmerized the audience alternating with sudden sounds slightly hysterical whipping, accompanied by the throbbing bass of the Bolognesi.
An experimental sound, capable of causing deep belly almost primal feelings and bring along the labyrinthine paths of the unconscious mind; corrugated expressions on the faces of the musicians, who were engaged in a sort of conversation with their instruments and the reflection of dim lights on brass of the saxophone and rapid dance of fingers on the strings of the bass, all these elements were present at the concert last night (Tuesday May 5) in a general image that describes a type of music written before in my heart that on the lines of a pentagram.
