Excuse me if you steal two minutes, but today more than ever I am convinced what in our world we need to clarify, someone will think Here comes again the pain in the ass but the fact of saying what I think besides me feel good and gave me a lot of friends then go ahead. Today, during a pleasant conversation with a friend of mine who is also a great coach, talking about the upcoming provincial elections on 2 February that will decide the team that manage the athletics in the province of Siracusa, I said to my friend and between sentences' another has escaped from his mouth "the problem is that those who are accumulating more and more power, because the first amateur clubs do not get points for their work," said this certainly in good faith and with the conviction of this. I swear that I was petrified, because first I am not some amateur who wants to have this so-called power. According to yet because we continue to make the distinction between amateur clubs and absolute as if both do not belong to the same association. This makes me think that the problem is not someone to restore athletics to its rightful place as queen of the sport now seems more a Cinderella to be good, but the priority is to resize if you do not get rid of the amateurs. I would like to make a few comments in our province, unfortunately, there are few skilled technicians and therefore the few athletes who can go on until you get tired of moving from one country to another for training as it must, almost completely missing the instructors in the various countries of the province, whose task would be to start the kids athletics. This is because my friend has mentioned the story of John Horse, not knowing if it was not for the involvement of an amateur, now John probably would Cassibile to assemble doors, but if someone had seen some work year before, I am convinced that John would reach the goals more important than those obtained to date. Question: How many John Cavallo we lost today? And those waiting for someone to find them? Back in the amateurs, unfortunately, and I repeat, unfortunately, what I know is the only sector that for some years now is making progress, both in terms of club and organization, so I think for the good of our sport is better to put aside selfishness and certain distinctions between sectors and at least follow the commitment and determination that those who bring in what and they join forces and ideas are able to advance any athletic movement, otherwise, and someone contradicts me, you die. So I hope that anyone who presents himself for the presidency, does so with a clearly defined program to be presented to the voters with a clear idea of \u200b\u200bgoing in the direction of the common interest, with no intention of throwing someone off the moving train Otherwise we are back to square one. From my point of view, the priority should be given to the promotional sector and youth to follow, leaving the absolute amateurs the chance to manage it as done so far but in full compliance with the rules, perhaps by pulling advertising from the various countries in which they organize the events. I thank my friend coach for giving me the idea for this letter. And I hope not to have troubled the mind of anyone, as my only and true intention is to put an end to the confrontation that leads nowhere.
Greetings
Giancarlo Bertini
